i heard on here that you can go 5/8' without damaging your carb. well the machinest at my work forgot that i told him 9/16' and punched it out to 5/8 and it hit the fuel line to the float! so i ask, how did everyone else do it?

You can't go 5/8' all the way through or it will damage your carb like buddy did. He just ruined that carb now. You can only drill the front and back 5/8' creating a venturi. If you drill all the way through you might as well throw it in the garbage.

9/16' max if your going to drill right through. This is around 14.3mm and is the max you can do without damaging the fuel supply or other parts of the carb.

Good thing carbs are cheap. PRS should have them in stock and if Miles doesn't contact us at phatperformancebikes.com

We have have lot's of them if he needs one.
